Green Mountain Power Resilient Home
Free Tesla Powerwall lease (~$10,500 value over 10 years)
Green Mountain Power's Resilient Home program is a unique Vermont battery storage offering — GMP provides a Tesla Powerwall to qualifying residential customers in exchange for shared access to the battery for grid services. Customers pay nothing upfront and a small monthly fee ($30/month typical). Over 10 years the customer effectively receives a $10,500+ value Powerwall for $3,600 in cumulative fees. The customer cannot claim federal 25D because they do not own the equipment, but they pay nothing upfront and gain backup power resilience.
