NJ Clean Energy Program — Solar Renewable Energy Certificates
$85+ per MWh (TREC value 15-year contract)
New Jersey's Successor Solar Incentive (SuSI) program — administered through Transition Renewable Energy Certificates (TRECs) — pays solar customers approximately $85+ per MWh of generation over a 15-year contract. New Jersey was the original SREC market in the US and remains one of the strongest. Combined with the federal 25D credit, NJ sales tax exemption (100% on solar equipment), and 1:1 net metering, New Jersey solar economics are among the best in the East Coast despite the state's modest solar resource.
